Why do organisations implement Project and Portfolio Management systems?
Invariably a key objective is gaining control and visibility of the project portfolio. We want to gather project information efficiently and turn it into insights to be shared with stakeholders promptly.
Project Online is a great tool to rapidly implement a highly personalised project database and adopt a consistent process framework. It’s the combination with Power BI that raises this solution to another level.
What is Power BI? This is how Microsoft explains it:
“Power BI is a suite of business analytics tools that deliver insights throughout your organization. Connect to hundreds of data sources, simplify data prep, and drive ad hoc analysis. Produce beautiful reports, then publish them for your organization to consume on the web and across mobile devices. Everyone can create personalized dashboards with a unique, 360-degree view of their business. And scale across the enterprise, with governance and security built-in.”
As a cloud service within Office 365 it is instantly available and connects easily to Project Online’s data sources (such as Projects, Resources, Tasks, Assignments, Risks, Issues, Timesheets and many more). Continue reading >>

Updating and replacing the current E4 plan, the recently released Office 365 Enterprise E5 contains every piece of the productivity platform puzzle. The only problem is that there’s too many pieces to list in one blog post! Continue reading >>
