We’re delighted to announce that Program Framework will be presenting at Microsoft’s Project Online Roadshow on Monday 7th December in London Victoria. Our seminar, Managing Portfolios in an FMCG organisation and the introduction of Project Online, will include a guest appearance from Simon Ireson, Programme Manager at Britvic and will be led by our director, Gero Renker.
The seminar will be an opportunity to learn about how industry leaders are navigating the challenges of portfolio management in 2015, with a special focus on the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) market. Simon will describe how Project Online has proven instrumental to Britvic’s approach to managing a portfolio of projects in a high pressure industry. While project management is particularly pertinent to the FMCG market in the run up to Christmas, lessons learnt about using Project Online will be invaluable to PM professionals from any background.
With only 20 places available, interested attendees are invited to book their places as soon as possible. You don’t want to miss out!
The conference season is almost over
It has been a busy few months at Program Framework – we’ve attended no less than six conferences since the beginning of October (including two in Barcelona). We will also be attending more events with the Project Online Roadshow around the UK throughout the rest of the month. We’re especially excited about our London seminar; it will be a great opportunity to learn about how different industries are using the power of the cloud to run projects in a much more agile and versatile way.
What is Project Online?
Microsoft Project Online brings the tech giant’s ground-breaking project management solution to the cloud. Besides offering a flexible, smartphone and tablet-enabled environment for PM professionals in Office 365, the fact Project is now available over the cloud is particularly important. Wherever your colleagues are, whatever they’re doing, they can connect to the latest company plans and collaborate online. This both extends and enhances the power of Project Server, and is especially useful for teams that are geographically dispersed.
Earlier this year, we helped Arup – the international engineering firm – achieve global, round-the-clock access to their project data through an implementation of Project Online. This meant teams working on major projects in different time zones were able to stay up to date with the latest plans, and collaborate wherever they were based.
What’s so exciting about Project Online is its versatility and the fact that it can be used successfully in such a wide range of industries.
Dates for your diary
Besides the Project Online Roadshow, we will also be presenting a webinar entitled Resource Planning Simulation & What-If Modelling with Tempus Resource on Thursday 10th December. This will be an occasion to learn more about resource capacity portfolio management and how it could be used in your organisation.
Ever wondered what would happen to resource allocation if you cancelled a project, changed start and end dates or split a project in two? Ever wanted to explore whether you have enough resources for all the projects you’re currently planning or, alternatively, do you have too many employees and not enough work? Register for the webinar to find out more about how to manage these and other questions.
