“WPC is where we come each year to celebrate the success we have together, and also to reaffirm that commitment.”
—Satya Nadella, WPC 2015, Orlando.
It’s hard to believe that in just under a month’s time, Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) will be getting underway. Right now, as you read this, there are more than 15,000 people putting the final touches on their preparations for the tech giant’s annual summer event. Microsoft ensures attendees will be able to make new networking connections, uncover business insights and create partnerships that can help deliver world-class results. So, if you’re getting ready to go, we probably don’t have to do that much convincing to get you excited!
If you haven’t already, you might think about getting a head start on your networking game by signing up to WPC Connect; a chance to interact with other partners and attendees before you even pack your suitcase. Plus, by signing up, you’ll get access to lots of information about keynotes, speakers, and other session resources. It’s a great way to plan ahead and if you can’t make it to Toronto, it’s an opportunity to keep up with everything that’s going on.
And there will be a lot going on. Attendees from over 130 different countries can look forward to five days jam-packed full of knowledge sharing and networking. From Sunday evening through Thursday, there will be plenty of daily and nightly events with guest speakers, sponsors, exhibit halls and over a hundred different sessions to enjoy.
The best place to be in July
Toronto is the location for the 15th annual WPC event. It will be a record third time that Canada’s largest city has hosted the event (previously in 2004 & 2012). From the 10th-14th of July, Microsoft Partners from all over the world will arrive in the city – that’s regarded as one of the best locations for tech start-ups in the world – to meet and network with each other. The event itself will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Center in the heart of downtown Toronto, with great access to the best sights the city has to offer. Then again, the best sights for partners will likely be in the centre of the fun at WPC!
Microsoft themselves proclaim the value of WPC:
“Partners consistently tell us that they’re able to accomplish more in one week at WPC than in months of work back home…when you bring many of the best minds of the IT industry into a single place, the impossible becomes achievable.”
We couldn’t agree more. Where else would you be able to find speakers offering insights from across the industry, including Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, COO Kevin Turner, VP of Worldwide Partner Group Phil Sorgen, as well as many, many more.
Program Framework: A 2016 Microsoft Partner of the Year Finalist
We are pleased to announce that Program Framework has been chosen as a Finalist for the Microsoft Partner of the Year award for Program and Portfolio Management in 2016. The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year.
It is an honour to be counted among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology; we are incredibly proud to have reached the final and to share this accolade with other great partners. This is fantastic recognition of the team’s efforts and expertise in developing and implementing Microsoft Project solutions.
Gavriella Schuster, general manager of Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp., announced:
“The outstanding innovation and value the Microsoft partner community continues to provide for our mutual customers is demonstrated by this year’s award winners. We applaud Program Framework on achieving FINALIST of the 2016 Microsoft Project and Portfolio award.”
We are delighted to be able to share the news of our success with our long term, loyal customers and partners. We are also delighted to be attending WPC by way of a celebration!
A party event that will be B.A.N.A.N.A.S.
Speaking of WPC and celebrating, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t looking forward to the WPC party event. Each year at WPC, the Partner Celebration caps off the conference by celebrating partner success. To help celebrate this year, special guest, three-time Grammy winner and coach on the hit show The Voice, Gwen Stefani will join the festivities. Stefani, a trendsetter, accomplished fashion designer and entrepreneur will perform exclusively for WPC attendees on Wednesday, July 13. There’s ‘No Doubt’ we’ll enjoy that one.
That’s not all
On the 14th of July, we’ll be attending the WPC UK Regional session, hosted by UK SMS&P, where General Manager, Clare Barclay and her team will put announcements made during WPC into context. We’ll also hear exclusive insights into the strategy and direction for UK partners.
