Program Framework, Project Management Practice

Gartner PPM Conference 2015, London, June 8th – 9th

Working in an area as diverse and fast-paced as Project and Portfolio Management is great. Not only for the work we get to do and help we can offer, but also due to the fantastic number of shows and conferences scheduled throughout the year. We always keep an eye on those ‘must-attend’ events as they’re an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues (old and new) and stay on-top of the latest news and announcements from our industry.

The last few months have been particularly busy and insightful for us at Program Framework. Most notably with the Project Spring Challenge Show in April, which focussed on changes in the PPM landscape and how companies are responding to these new shifts. Add to that Microsoft Ignite, which was a huge event and covered all manner of topics, from sharing Microsoft’s PPM vision and roadmap to understanding and utilising Project Pro in Office 365, we’ve been inundated with exciting news, views and developments which both directly and indirectly connect with our industry.

We’re delighted to say that June will be more of the same, as we make our way to the next ‘must-attend’ event for PPM professionals. This year’s Gartner PPM & IT Governance Summit – which kicks-off next week in London (June 8th – 9th) – is set to be another brilliant conference. In the words of Gartner, “the Summit is the premier gathering of Program and Portfolio Management leaders, where analysts present the latest best practices to help you deliver IT projects that support business objectives”.

ProSymmetry and Program Framework

We’ll be there with the ProSymmetry team – Greg Bailey and Sean Pales – who will flying over from the US having just spent 3 days at Gartner’s PPM event in Dallas. For those who don’t know about ProSymmetry, their product – Tempus Resource – is a fantastic resource and project planning solution that helps PPM professionals with everyday challenges by carrying out virtual ‘what-if’ analysis using a simple and intuitive UI.

As ProSymmetry’s UK partner we’re really excited about attending the Gartner PPM & IT Governance Summit with Greg and Sean and showcasing the newest features on offer. From an enhanced opportunity map to improved filtering, data unification from multiple sources and custom branding and logo support, the latest features support the needs of PPM professionals and provide an even better end user experience.

Come and see for yourself!

Greg will be demoing this new version of Tempus Resource at the Summit, so if you’re attending, come along and say “hi”. We’ll be at stand S1, showing people exactly how the product can be used!

However, if you can’t wait until next week to find out more about ProSymmetry and Tempus Resource I’d suggest no better starting place than this video; where our Director James Butler interviewed Greg at the recent Project Controls EXPO.

In addition to a free Whitepaper, which looks at the challenges and opportunities within Resource Portfolio Management, we’ve written a series of blogs on Tempus Resource which you can read here. You can also take a look at ProSymmetry’s resource page which contains some short videos, case studies and recent press releases.

With Gartner’s Summit in London fast approaching, keep up-to-date with all the latest news from the conference through our Twitter account and ProSymmetry’s, where we’ll be posting photos, videos and much more using the PPM and PM hashtags! We hope to see many of you there.
