Benvinguts a Barcelona!
We can’t wait to disembark in Barcelona for our second visit to the Catalan capital next month. Having recently returned from the city after attending the Gartner Symposium ITxpo with ProSymmetry, we’re looking forward to another trip to Spain’s second largest city. Aside from the beautiful architecture and great food there’s another reason that makes this trip an exciting one.
Our client Arup, a global design and engineering firm, will be speaking at the event about our recent work together. Carolyn Bundey, Manager of the Global IT Portfolio Management Office at Arup, will talk about how harnessing the power of the cloud, with Project Online, helped them save over 40 man hours every month and create effective insights across their global projects. Towards the end of October, we wrote about our involvement in the 2015 Annual Project Management Awards held on November 2nd. Before we go any further, we must say that it was a fantastic event with some really deserving nominees and winners. For us, it was also particularly special, as it was our 9th consecutive year sponsoring the Programme of the Year award. And to keep the tradition going, we’ve just signed on for another 3 years with APM, so we’re already excited to get to number 10 next year!
2015 marked the highest ever number of entries – breaking the previous record set at last year’s event – so the competition was tougher than ever. For that reason, we would first of all like the congratulate each and every finalist. They should all be very proud of the work they’ve done and what they’ve achieved. Continue reading >>
Exploring the ancient cobbled streets of the gothic quarter, enjoying fresh tapas in an art nouveau restaurant, visiting world-beating museums – Barcelona has a lot to get excited about. Even more exciting than the above, we will be visiting the Catalan giant to attend the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo. Taking place on the 8th – 12th November, the IT analysts’ conference will be held at the CCIB conference centre, a stone’s throw from the sea front. Continue reading >>
The APM Project Management Awards are a celebration of the excellence in project management, recognising the achievements of both individuals and companies for over 20 years now. This year’s awards’ ceremony will be held at the London Hilton on Park Lane on November 2nd, and we’re delighted to be attending the event yet again. There have been a number of preliminary events dating all the way back to April, so the awards are greatly anticipated by all involved. The awards dinner is known for being the one of the most glamorous events of the year and is a great chance for people to really enjoy themselves whilst acknowledging the fine work achieved in the field of project management.
The awards are focused on the outputs and outcomes of projects, i.e. what they aim to achieve, and what their success gives back to the profession. Winners of the highly-coveted trophy (and winners in the past) act as prime examples of the invaluable contribution that project professionals provide in all sections of society. Continue reading >>
Following a successful showing in the Spring, this October will mark our second visit of the year to Project Challenge 2015. The independent expo will be taking place at London’s Olympia, and is the number one event for gaining first hand insight and expertise in the Project Management world. We’re delighted to be attending once again and will be exhibiting at stand no. 37.
Project Management is a highly rewarding career, but to reap the benefits professionals need to dedicate a lot of time and knowledge to understanding just how the profession works – and to keep up to date with new trends and tools. Project Challenge is the perfect opportunity for gaining this cutting edge knowledge and expertise. Learning from industry leaders and inspiring presentations on all things Project Management, attendees can expect to gain a deeper knowledge of effective management. Continue reading >>
Microsoft held this year’s EMEA Project Partner Forum in Amsterdam on the 9th and 10th September, taking the opportunity to communicate the IT giant’s latest developments and recognise the successes of partners in the region. Among this year’s winners, we were presented the award for ‘Best New Cloud Customer’ by Sajan Parihar – Microsoft Director of Product Management – for our work with the design and construction firm Arup.
Partners arrived in the Dutch capital to hear about the future of Microsoft’s most popular Project Management tools, network with peers, and gain invaluable insights into the future of PPM. At the Netherlands headquarters at Schiphol, the conference heard from various Microsoft leaders. Compelling business success stories surrounding Microsoft’s range of PPM offerings underscored the value of appropriately deployed Project Management technology. Continue reading >>
In an earlier post we mentioned our partner Nintex had some exciting developments up their sleeves, to be announced in the coming months. Sure enough, Nintex have now launched new versions of Nintex Mobile and Nintex Forms, helping companies to build much more sophisticated mobile apps and forms with custom branding and advanced data connectors. We’ve long been fans of Nintex, as have our clients, so we are really pleased to see their products improving even further.
These improved tools add a new layer of sophistication to the Nintex enterprise-grade workflow automation platform. Helping companies drive productivity and engage global workforces around the clock, whether they’re in the office or in the field, on laptops or mobile devices, online or offline. There was reason we said to be excited. Continue reading >>
